Event Details
Learn to knit while making a cute hat with a color pattern and a turned-up cuff. The class will take 4 weeks and run every Saturday in February from 10 to noon. You will learn to cast on, cast off, knit, purl, increase and decrease stitches and make a pattern using two colors of yarn. This class is for adults and teens.
Supplies needed:
- 1 skein of worsted weight yarn that knits up at 5 stitches to the inch. Preferably a solid color. This information will be on the paper band around the yarn. It will also have a drawing of a skein of yarn with the number 4 on it. (Lion Brand is a good yarn to start with and Walmart sells it.)
- 1 circular inch needle at least 32" long. (40" is better but bring what you can find!)
